Description: This feature class dataset contains a compilation of simplified volcano hazard areas by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) for the five stratovolcanoes in Washington State. These polygon data identifiy volcano hazards zonation and hazard types resulting from different volcano phenomena (alteration, blast, debris avalanche, lahar, surges, and regional lava flows).
Description: The mapped hazard areas are a compilation of the maximum modeled tsunami inundation (flooding), gathered from multiple tsunami hazard publications and represents multiple earthquake scenarios. Depending on location, this may be either an offshore earthquake from the Cascadia subduction zone or local crustal faults within Puget Sound.
Description: Last Updated on 9/7/2021 by SLS.The purpose of this data is to provide planners with a history of flooding events recorded in the county. This information is compiled using authoritative data and represents the approximate mapped location of documented high groundwater flooding events for the purposes of screening. Authoritative data includes, but is not limited to, the 1997 WA State DOT infrared aerial photography. Beginning in 2016 updates to this layer began, and are in progress, to eliminate shadowing and map high groundwater using digital versions of the 1997 Aerial Photography (not available when the layer was first created) and LiDAR Contour data. All edits are verified by the County Hydrogeologist and Flood Plain Manager before being incorporated into the data. Edits are made on a case-by-case basis as time allows and when discrepancies are found and researched. For information about changes or making a change please contact Tim Rubert, Flood Plain Manager, with Thurston County. High ground water hazard areas as defined in the Thurston County Critical Areas Ordinance Chapter 24.20, adopted on July 24, 2012 Or No 14773. 24.20.015 High ground water flood hazard areas – Base flood elevation. The base flood elevation (BFE) for high ground water flood hazard areas corresponds to the elevation of the outer edge of the high ground water flood hazard area. The map entitled “High Ground Water Flood Hazard Areas,” depicts the approximate location of the high groundwater flood hazard area. The actual location of the outer edge of the flood hazard area shall be determined consistent with TCC 24.20.030 and 24.20.035, as applicable.

Description: The Amtrak Routes dataset updated September 30, 2025 from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and is part of the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT)/Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) National Transportation Atlas Database (NTAD). This dataset is a single line representation of unique routes that are generated from the North American Railroad Network (Amtrak). It contains a geographic reference of the Amtrak system at 1:24,000 or better and the dataset covers all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
