Description: This feature class shows municipal boundaries within Seminole County as defined by Tax District (TD) records provided by the Seminole County Property Appraiser's Office (SCPA) for parcels of record and by ordinances submitted to Seminole County. TD records are the reference standard for the designation of “City.” The secondary standard is ordinances received, and ordinances must be in agreement with the SCPA TD records before they are recorded in the layer. Municipal boundaries apply only to parcels of record and are not intended to delineate jurisdiction over public right-of-ways. Public right-of-ways may be shown in the absence of parcels and exist solely as a graphical element to ensure that incorporated areas appear contiguous in maps.
