The boundary of each community is called a Census Designated Place, or CDP. These CDP's are what the US Census Bureau uses for Census Block population tabulation. Mariposa County updated the CDP's for the 2020 Census so the boundaries matched what the County considers planning study areas, aka communities. This is important for planning purposes to accurately define a community's population, to a reasonable degree of confidence. </SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
