FIELD NAME DESCRIPTIONS:
FROM_LEFT - Lowest address on the left-hand side of the centerline. This value may be even or odd depending upon the direction of the thoroughfare.
TO_LEFT - Highest address on the left-hand side of the centerline. This value may be even or odd depending upon the direction of the thoroughfare.
FROM_RIGHT - Lowest address on the right-hand side of the centerline. This value may be even or odd depending upon the direction of the thoroughfare.
TO_RIGHT - Highest address on the right-hand side of the centerline. This value may be even or odd depending upon the direction of the thoroughfare
FEATURE_TYPE - Depicts the type of thoroughfare centerline. The following thoroughfare codes are used:
1 = Street
2 = Bridge
3 = Tunnel
4 = Alley
5 = Freeway
6 = Railroad
7 = Flood Control
8 = Canal
9 = Private Street
10 = Mobile Trailer Park
11 = Harbor Department Jurisdiction
12 = Vacated Street
13 = Service Road
14 = Pedestrian Walkway
15 = Old Legal Centerline (Reference Only)
16 = Not Open to Vehicular Traffic 17 = Access or Frontage Road
18 = Miscellaneous Water Features
19 = Bridge Ramp or Freeway Ramp
20 = Caltrans Jurisdiction
NW_WIDTH - Distance to northerly or westerly right-of-way boundary, dependent upon the direction of the centerline. Units are in feet. A value of ‘999’ indicates that the distance varies along the length of the segment.
SE_WIDTH - Distance to southerly or easterly right-of-way boundary, dependent upon the direction of the centerline. Units are in feet. A value of ‘999’ indicates that the distance varies along the length of the segment.
FC_LB - Indicates the functional classification of the centerline as defined in accordance with the Transportation Element of the General Plan. Various FEATURE_TYPEs such as alleys, private streets, canals, flood control channels, railroads and other designations may not be populated. The following classifications are used:
BLV = Boulevard
COL = Neighborhood Connector
FWY = Freeway
LOC = Local Street
MAJ = Major Avenue
MIN = Minor Avenue
PRT = Port-Related Street
REG = Regional Corridor
FC_LB_SPEC - Indicates the special street functions as defined in accordance with the Transportation Element of the General Plan. Various FEATURE_TYPEs such as alleys, private streets, canals, flood control channels, railroads and other designations may not be populated The following classifications: S = Scenic Route
FC_FEDERAL - Indicates the functional classification of street centerlines as defined in accordance with the most current (2007 & 2010) Federal Highway Administration definitions. Various FEATURE_TYPEs such as alleys, private streets, canals, flood control channels, railroads and other designations may not be populated. The following classifications are used:
CLCTR = Collector
FRWAY = Freeway or Expressway
INTST = Interstate
LOC = Local Streets
MINOR = Minor Arterial
PRINC = Principal Arterial
STATUS_TYPE - Right of way centerlines could be one of the following types:
1 = Legal
2 = Apparent
3 = Proposed
A legal centerline is one that is officially recorded thereby rendered traceable to a legal description. An apparent centerline is one that was defined down the middle of the right-of-way when no legal document was available. A proposed centerline is a representation of the centerline in its proposed location specifically in areas that are under development. Upon completion of the development, and once as-built information becomes available, a proposed centerline will be changed to either a legal or an apparent designation. FEATURE_ID - AZTECA Work Order system attribute. It is the numeric system-defined identifier for any Cityworks feature. FACILITY_ID - AZTECA Work Order system attribute. It is the user-defined alphanumeric numbering scheme.
LOC_ID - A location identifier typically represents that hundred block value of the segment (IE: 100 Pacific Ave). It is compiled using the lowest address number usually from the ‘FROM_RIGHT’ field and the street name fields: ‘PREFIX’, ‘ST_NAME’, ‘ST_TYPE’ and ‘SUFFIX’. This was originally defined for the AZTECA Work Order system but is now used by others.
SECTION_ID - An identification number used to link the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ MicroPaver Pavement Management System.
LIMITS - Used for alleys only (FEATURE_TYPE = 4). It describes the geographic location of a given alley centerline segment. A slash ‘ / ‘ between two street names indicates that the alley lies in the middle of the two named streets. A description that begins with ‘FROM’ indicates that the alley diagonally connects two named streets (often at an intersection), or that the alley either begins or ends without a defined location. Please refer to the Public Works Engineering Bureau’s ‘Alley Naming Convention’ document for further clarification.
